I am looking for the end bearing part number for a Kubota flail mower model 3648. The mower was manufactured by Vemco Corporation. This is a free item and all I have to do is locate the bearing and I think it will be up and running.

The end shaft looks like it is 1", but really haven't measured it. If any of you have information regarding this your help is certainly appreciated.

I can't help with the bearing, but aid in your search it's called a "FLAIL" mower, not a "FRAIL" mower, unless its made of cardboard:D

I just did a quick google search for "vemco flail mower" and got a lot of hits.

Good luck:D

Hey, sorry about that, you'd think one would check spelling and read the darn thing before posting. Sorry about that.

I have been looking on a search engine....

Lots out there but I cannot find the vemco flail mower part of which you are needing. I'd consider calling around to some of the other places that have or make another similar model and see if they have a bushing that will work. That appears to be a general part for most applications of the flail mower. I'd be prepard with hole size dimensions, shaft size that the bushing houses, etc... I'm thinking you'll come up with something that will suffice.

SIR,
please mike the shaft. in this metric age, do not take anything
for granted. it would appear to me, a flange type bearing would
do the job. you might need to apply a shim between the bearing,
and case, then matching the hole pattern would not matter, you
could redrill it to match the bearing.

And if the original bolt holes are in the way, weld them up and redrill them to fit the new bearing on your fRail mower.
Knowing the dimensions that matter is the important thing, and that is your shaft diameter and maybe how far the shaft sticks out past the side of the mower. How much room you have around where it bolts to might come into play, but doesn't look like it from this end.
I also wouldn't use a tape measure to check the shaft size. I caliper or micrometer if you have them, if not, find someone who does.
