Hi, I have an 06 , Kubota BX1500 with about 730 hrs.last spring I had a pretty good oil leak from front axle so I changed the o o-rings and ring back ups on the center bolt , problem solved. Last week I used the FEL to lift out a peerless boiler from the cellar . It was very heavy . Afterwards , I parked the tractor in the garage and next morning had a 10 " circle of oil on the floor. Coming from the front of the center bolt. This is really a crappy design by Kubota. Is it necessary to use oil in the front end ? Couldnt I use A thin grease like lubriplate instead of oil ? This really sucks ! Any advise would be greatly appreciated. I know I should do it the right way but I only use it to mow and snowblow . Is there an additive I could add ? Thanks for your time ! Dana

If you are not using 80/90w in the front axle you may try that. My BX2200 says I can use UDT or 80w. I use 80/90w. My axle must be a different design than yours. There is no center bolt that goes through the axle housing. Are you referring to the pivot pin?

Grease would not give you the lube you need when operating.

Make sure you have a good counterweight on the 3 point to take the weight off of the front axle while using the loader..

My dad has a L3710 that has been a best buy...except the leaky front end. The dealer has fixed it 3X, and it needs to be fixed again. The insides of the front tires are always oily. If 80W90 would work, I am tempted to drain out the tractor fluid that the owner's manual said to use, and try the gear lube.

The L3710 manual recommends UDT or 80W-90 gear oil. I used 75W-90 synthetic gear oil in mine while I owned it.

They sell engine stop leaks for cars, like a motor honey. Going to Walmarts to get the thickest **** they have! Piss poor design.

We have used the real thick STP oil additive on a noisy jeep wagoneer rear axle and it also started running cooler at hiway speeds no ill affects so far ( many years)

There were some posts about running some kind of super thick lube in tillers with failed shaft seals,
