Kubota front fenders

Thanks. They are well built and very strong. Not cheap though.

Welcome. Wish I could find one with the wheel off. If your in no rush the next tine I bring the tractor in the shop I can pull the wheel and snap a photo. Yes there's room for chains. Just trim the lower bolts under the plastic portion of the fender. Incidentally your USA 5740's Axel is the same as the Canadian model. The only difference with the Canadian version of the 5740 is higher output alternator, rear cab lights, rear wiper and rear defrost on three windows are standard equipment on the unit and are not considered an option.

It will probably be a while before I order, so please do post a photo if you have time. Not a big deal if you don't. The stack of brackets on yours is impressive, looks like the intention was to totally avoid anything that could get pushed into a tire, etc.

Will do. I usually build my own stuff like this but was more than impressed with its quality and I'm happy I bought them.

Yeah, I started to ask if you had built them, then reread your post. I thought they were too well thought out to be factory. :)

FatTire- I inquired about ordering a set of Canadian L5740 front fenders a few months back. If I recall correctly, there was a small cost savings if you had the Canadian dealer freight them to your local US dealer. I think it had something to do with NAFTA, allowing a certain fee to be avoided. You may want to look into that if you do order a set.

Also, I spoke with a particular Canadian dealer that was very helpful on this topic. Unfortunately I can't remember their name or find the email at this particular moment!

Paul- if there is any way that I can talk you into fabricating an air ride conversion seat base bracket for the L5740, I would be really interested!

Usually what's done is the owner removes his seat then the seat pan under it, sends the pan to me and I do the mods needed. Usually one day turn around on my end. If you were in Canada it would be easy but being in the USA causes many headaches sending stuff across the border. I did one for a friend of mine a few years ago. Sent it out to him and then a few weeks later I got hit with a brokerage fee of $70. He was good enough to pay it but it's not a good thing to have happen. Trump complains about free trade. He should be living on the Canadian side if he wants to experance the $hitty end of the free trade agreement. Maybe a local guy in your area can do it!

Please let me know if you come across the name of that Canadian dealer. I checked with Messick's parts department, the fenders are not in the USA system, and the USA dealers cannot tap into the Canadian system, so I need to start with a Canadian dealer.

You may want to consider running some supports to the top bearing bolts. Any small amount of flex will allow them to fatigue and crack very quickly. even though I can stand on mine at 200lbs, i still had to repair a few small cracks after 4 years of commercial use.
