kubota G1800 fuel shutoff

when i cut the ignition switch to the off position the engine continues to run..
i depress the starter stop solenoid to kill the engine..
the igniton switch in the off positon kills the circuit to the fuel guage and the temp guage but as i said above the engine continues to run until i depress the starter stop solenoid...
has anyone had this problem and if so please tell me what the remedy is...

You have an electronic controller box on the left side of engine. 1st use a test light and see if stop solenoid gets current when key is turned oon then turned off. A quick check is to turn switch till glow lamp comes on , then hold in position . Lamp should go out in 10 seconds approx. If not test controller. Not a cheap part .
