I've got a g1900 with a 60" deck. It's huge, and frankly with that much weight I didn't think it would slip so easily. My 44" cub cadet (2518) climbs hills much steeper without losing traction. For those that don't know neither of these has limited slip or traction control. The Kubota has brand new turf tires. I checked the deck springs and found that they are adjusted properly so the rear tires are getting some weight from the deck.

Any other ideas or is it just a matter of putting more weight on the rear end? I saw someplace a bracket that would fit the back of one of these that held the deere front weights. Anybody remember where that was?

Rear wheel weights is an easy first step. Carrying more of the deck weight on the tractor when in the slippery spots might also help. You could add a rear weight box of someones design or a weight bracket to carry the suitcase style weights.

I've seen a lot of lawn mowers of various makes that won't make it up one hill or another in this area and there are better and worse brands and models.
