I had my doubts about this one from the get go, I mean who allows some to almost completely tear a new tractor apart, rebuild it and then say, "I'm going to give it away". I know I was told, "the kids will be happy it wasn't your tractor", I wouldn't have gall to give someone a defective tractor. As I said before a real dealer would have gotten a real person a new tractor. I won't sell someone a POS and or give someone a POS.

Sure, it could be exactly as you and others have said, some "tall story". Most all of it points that way. Sure, he could be 24 year old living in his parent's basement and lives a delusional internet life. Could be.

But I still wonder if some of you guys have ever had to deal with a lonely, elderly older guy, who suffers a bit (or a lot) from forms of dementia?

We're not likely to ever know anything more about this "story", nor of it's teller, but I'd bet there's a story alright. There always is.

Sorry to jump in, but his other posts weren't that wild. Sounded like a well read old man that got a computer cuz his grandson showed him how. He may have checked out and ya'll'd feel real bad. On the other hand he could be like that Brad Paisley song "Online"

It might come up under "Alias" or other names used. But eventually, for all of us- identifiers or avatars we use will become linked to our real identity.

It may take some time, but with all of the search engines and such.....
There really is not any "hiding" behind a screen name anymore.

Anything posted on-line should be considered a public statement- if you don't want everyone in the world to have access to it, don't post it

I bought my first Kubota in 1985 and it was bullet-proof, sold it for more dollars than I paid for it, of course the dollars I got were lesser dollars 20 years later.

I have a few newer Kubotas now, and any problems have been taken care of by my dealer without any resistance. Those problems were the floors on the BXs. Dealer picked the BXs up, fixed the problem and that was it. Yes, the plastic on the BXs seems cheap, but I bet that 20 years from now there won't be any rust. The bigger guy, the L3700 is all steel and it is one heck of a tractor, I often use it as a bulldozer and it hasn't missed a beat.

If the old guy has problems with the dealer, write Kubota an email. They respond within a day or two. Oh, I am an old guy too.
