Hi All,
My brother-in-law has just been told he has a transmission problem with his GR2120. He has been told it will cost $AUD 5,000 for a new one and roughly $AUD 2,000 for fitting the new transmission.
The mower is 6 years old with 350 hours, it has been well serviced.
He has asked if I can help part out the mower, get a few dollars to contribute to a new mower.
To me it sounds like the dealer is trying to rip him off big time. And parting the mower seems like a shame, nothing else is wrong with it.
Does anyone know if these transmissions can be repaired, or is it a sealed unit? Could it be a cheap part that has just failed but will take a number of hours to pull apart?
Should I try fix?
Cheers
