Realistically it is a double edged sword. At some point you may have
to as it could be the most inexpensive route to address a particular
problem. But touch up paint is certainly not one of them. Around
here it is a dealer independent $8 a can. Those who feel compelled
to support their local dealer's exercise in price gouging are certainly
free to do so.
Kubota Orange II (exact match to new factory paint):<ul type="square">
[*]BPS Tractor and Implement Paint, Allis Chalmers Orange 4431-03 (TSC)
[*]Dupli-Color Engine Enamel, DE1620 Chevrolet Orange (WalMart)
[*]Rustoleum #7458 (Home Depot)
Kubota ROPS/Frame Grey (close match):<ul type="square">[*]Rustoleum #7784 (Home Depot)
Note you still have the issue of UV fading with which to contend so
in many cases some color mismatch is inevitable. The less than
exact match on the ROPS/frame isn't very noticeable in practice and
isn't worth the trouble to get an absolute perfect match IMHO.
