Kubota Hydraulic Fluid vs. Generic

I would go with the SUDT-2. The only non-Kubota fluid I use is Mobil 1 engine oil. Why risk the expensive equip to save a few bucks. IMHO

The local kubota dealer here in Nothern Colorado does not sell Kubota hydraulic fluid, they sell Case HY-HYTRAN Ultra.

We sell both, amazing as it may seem we can make a Case,NH hydro quieter with the super UDT!!!

i do like the Case oil as it is excellent when we have condensation issues!

I use oem filters and hydraulic oil! Yes sudt is expensive, but im butying oil and peace of mind!

Messick, when you wrote, your tractor is not one of them, can you elaborate on the distinction between models that do or do not need SUDT? Is it the model that determines this or age/production year?

generally its the gear drive machines. hydro's really benefit from it, it is kinda magic juice in our experience. however a simple gear drive or shuttle does not benefit as much.

My local dealer indicated that even though Kubota recommends the SUDT-2 fluid, Kubota ships the tractors with regular UDT and that is what the dealer uses when servicing Kubotas.
