I bought my
BX25D-1 on 12/31/2015. In the year and a half I was watching prices, I saw the end of the year, October-December offer the best pricing. In the time I was looking, the 0% cost $65 over the cash price. Usually, the 0% cost $500 (for the
BX25D), plus the $65 fee. I am glad I bought when I did. I checked prices, afterward, just for fun. The best price I got, on the same package, was $850 more, starting the next day. $500 of that was for 0% financing. The other $350 was less one of the rebates that was in effect, when I made my purchase.
Also, I priced a MMM, which I did not get, when I bought the tractor. Around March, I bought the MMM, which was a higher price, but the dealer honored the price from the year prior, when I purchased the tractor. The difference was between $150 and $200.
KTAC insurance is not required. What is required is adequate insurance, which some homeowner's policies don't qualify. I got it for the hassle-free peace of mind. The pricing was fair, but I think I could have found an "inland marine" or the like for a little less. What I liked about the KTAC was if something happens, I'm not going to worry about the insurance trying to get sub-par parts or non-official services done. Also, I believe it is a replacement policy, not a pro-rated one, so long as you get an equivalent piece of equipment.
In the beginning of 2015, they got rid of 0% and offered 0.99%. I'm guessing that didn't go well as the 0% came back after being the standard, for years. Then, I'm guessing sales were still slow, as they finally offered a "true" 0%, at the end of the year.
