Kubota bx1500
I have been reading the forums for a while before I actually registered today. This week I purchased a 2003 BX1500 with a belly mower, Loader and backblade for $7200. I was curious about the Kubota insurance I had read about on here as the prices seemed reasonable. So I called and the cost to insure my little bota was $86 a year, this seemed cheap so I bought it.

Also on here someone said they insured their trailer with KTAC so I asked about that. The insurance for the trailer (cost $1539 in 2010) was $18 a year. So for $104 a year my tractor and trailer is insured. I am posting this because everyone likes to know the costs, and I would like to thank those that posted this before me.

I would like to see more details on the KTAC plan. Their website doesn't really have much other than a $250 deductible. My inland marine policy is quite a bit cheaper and also covers the trailer ($5 per $1000 per year). But cheaper doesn't mean better. I've heard some good things about KTAC as far as repairing kubotas and how easy they are to deal with.

We changed our homeowners last year and saved a bunch of money. However, the "nationally known" company we went with was not quite as cheap on the Inland Marine for the tractor and the coverage wasn't up to par. No theft coverage if off property, no this no that, if off property. While I don't leave the place often, I sure wanted that coverage. KTAC does it all in spades for a very fair price, so we went with them.

What my policy states is that it is covered from accidental damage, fire, theft, flooding. That deductable includes the pickup and return of your tractor. BTW it includes ALL IMPLEMENTS BOUGHT ON THAT SAME PURCHASE!!!! I have not seen much that it does not cover!

What about your liability insurance. Where is it covered.
I'd rather loose my tractor than loose everything I have.

IF you go to http://www.ktacinsuranceagency.com and go to the request a quote section it actually lists the coverages and exclusions. I am not sure if they list everything that is covered or excluded, but it does give a list. Also, if you do want more information you could always go to their contact us page and submit your questions or even call in. We went with an inland marine policy at first which we were told would cover us any and everywhere, but we found out soon after it did not cover us for specific things like water damage off property or theft off property. One of the only things it didn't cover was liability, but we took that out separately with our farm policy. One specific thing we loved about the ktac insurance is that when we had to file a claim, the dealership came to pick up the equipment and dropped it off once the repairs were finished and the insurance covered the transportation!

let me try this again...

CrazyAl... I represent KTAC so I want to explain our policy a little and then ask for a favor.

You state our website doesn't offer many details regarding what we do cover and I agree. I had our website improved (hopefully it has been) so you can get a better idea on what we offer and what we are about (protecting Kubota Customers so you stay Kubota Customers). The difficulty is listing everything we cover because we are an "All-Risk" insurance provider so we list the exclusions for the most part (even our actual policy is this way).

Now the favor... I would love feedback (good or bad) on the website if anyone wants to send me a message (private messages will not bother everyone else in the forum).

Thanks,
Brian

I'll go back and take a second look. Insurance is one of those things that unless your in the business it's hard at times to understand if you are reading things correctly. I think I can speak for all here, nobody wants to find out that they thought they were covered and found out after the fact that they weren't.

I am getting insurance on my RTV900 since your less money than my inland marine. Can I get liability for it as well from KTAC?

hmm... from typical exclusion part lists Nuclear Accidents. now my home where tractor is used is less then 10 miles from a nuclear plant. heavens forbid, but if something goes wrong, I cant even get to my tractor then  and the ktac insurance wont help???? :( I wonder if I got time to load it up and take with me in a time of emergency.:D:D

relax guys its just a joke- my family will come first. ;)

KTAC will cover you under their ALL-RISK policy, but they don't cover for liability. You could get that under your normal farm or home policy.

I just purchased a new Kubota L3700. I included the KTAC insurance, and I am glad I did! My sister is an insurance agent and after going with KTAC I asked her to check it out and make sure it was legit. She was not too happy because I did not go with her and she thought she could have gotten me a better rate. However a week later she let me know that for the all the coverages and the low deductible of KTAC I would have had to pay almost double if I went with her.
Of course I am hoping nothing happens to my Kubota, but it looks like KTAC is the way to go.
