Indian MC,

You're wrong about the claim process and payment.

For a previous post from someone else, the dealer should have provided a copy of the insurance dec page. The dec page prints out with the contract and other documents so you should have left the dealership with everything you need. If you didn't get one, call KTAC at 800-348-5802 and we will be happy to send you a copy.

Thank you. I will get this squared away asap.

Which dealer in NH did you get it from? Chappell gave me all the paperwork for KTAC when i purchased my B2601 from them.

Glad to see you're still following. There have been a few discussions on KTAC recently I was hoping you'd chime in on.

It's great to have vendors on here that can answer questions "straight from the horse's mouth".

As far as the claim process, KTAC is not in business to handle dealer inventory or Kubota's inventory for that matter. For a total loss (including theft), the insurance payment is made to the policy holder which is either Kubota Credit (if the equipment is financed) or the owner (if paid off). If the equipment is damaged and needing repair, the check is cut to an authorized repair shop and the customer has to endorse the check (to verify they are satisfied with the repair). My wife's car (Lexus) was wrecked and our insurance provider told her to take it to some independent repair shop. I called them back and told them the Lexus dealership she bought it from will be doing the repair work because I wanted Lexus parts and paint. They finally made an "exception" and agreed to pay extra for the Lexus dealership. Note: I got stuck with my wife's old car so you better believe I am going to take care of her new one!

I don't feel comfortable pointing fingers at my dealer. ( Minor Issue ) I'm part of the blame.
My purchase for my new 2601 was done 100% over the telephone. I put close to half down via Credit Card. The Machine was delivered to my home within two days.
Instead of looking through my folder of paperwork during delivery, I was to busy smiling and humping the tractor :)
No harm done. The paperwork that is missing will be coming. ( I haven't and hope to never submit a claim ).

I originally declined it when I financed it(about $20 per month extra). After a couple weeks of thinking about it,I emailed and requested a quote. The quote was around $230/yr, which is pretty reasonable IMO for everything they cover. The way my luck is, I will keep it for at least 6 years.

What does the insurance cover? I just paid off my BX. I was asked if I wanted to continue the coverage and declined. I was told when I purchased the tractor that I HAD to get it. I was never really told what it covered.
