Kubota L 2800

Hello,I am new to the board,I am looking at tractors to buy,and I have just about decided on the L 2800,I was looking at getting a Lenar 28hp 4wd,but I think the Kubota is a better deal.
I would like to know if $10,500 is a reasonable price for the 2800,as the Lenar was $8500,a few thousand less,but it does not seem to be as good a tractor as the Kubota.Any comments on the tractors will be appreciated.Thanks. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

We ran a special on the Kubota L2800DT-F (4WD, folding ROPS) during the Ft. Worth Stock Show at $10,451.00, so I would say your price is not bad at all. I really like this tractor, a lot easier to get on and off of than the L2600DT that it replaced with a nice 8X4 transmission.

A data point: Normangee Tractor has an ad running with an L2800DT with FEL, 5' shredder and 5' box blade for $13,995. This one of 4 special prices for the Houston Livestock Show. Find the Thrifyt Nickel newspapers on line, go to the Bryan College Station paper and under Farm & Ranch you should be able to spot the ad. These show prices are usually the lowest available in the area of south east Texas.

I just bought a L2800DT, FEL, 5' shredder, and box blade in a package for $14,650. Although my tractor was listed at $9805, I expect that if you are buying just the tractor the cost will be a little higher, since the dealer makes his $$$ on the implements. You didn't say if you were buying additional equipment, and the purchase of a FEL, shredder, etc. can make a difference in the final price.
