I have had it about a month now and really like it better than the last 4 JD tractors )

Can you elaborate on this? Just curious. Gerard

To start with I do not have to raise the hood to check the engine oil. I demoed a JD 4720 and it did not have the toruqe that it should of had, this bota has power to burn, it does drink more fuel than my others but a 6 tine 70" tiller at 7" deep in plowed ground, it don't know its back there. There is alot more room than my JD had but the biggest the the heat & ac cab. I know its a bigger tractor than I am used to, but I sure like it better. More stable, wider is better for me. It is about 8" shorter in height than my 4400 was. I like the hydro movement. At a idel it will build speed in high range. My JD would not turn the sterring very good much less try to move it at a idel. It is easyer to get on and off (more room) I think it is quite and did I say the cab. A freind stoped by today to take a look. I told him that I should send my deere dealer a thank you card, if he was 9K less I would not even thought about a differnt color.
Thanks for all the nice comments guys. I am tickled ORANGE and proud of it.

Ahhh, the joys of the 5030C.....I love my 5030"c" (that's a little c as in canopy) also. Finally found something I couldn't pick up, the rear of a 13 ton truck . (sorry Harvey) /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

txdon,
You look alittle small for that job, that was some soft ground. So I must have a (big)C of cab, am I right?

Beautiful Tractor!

Don't mean to be a wise acre, but... A 13 ton truck?

I don't think that truck weighs 13 ton or can haul 13 ton unless you used a wide angle lens.

I know, there's always one in every crowd! hehe

Nice rig!

Well, I don't know how much it weighed for sure, and don't care, but the back weighed more than I could pick up. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

DDT the little "c" for canopy and the big "C" for cab is my terminology, not Kubota's. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I don't think it was the tractor's power so much as the front wheels sinking in the mud just like Lucy. If you'd had your 5030's front wheels up on crossties, I think ol' Lucy's rear would have been up in the air. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif The trouble was the mud, not your power...IMHO. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

( Nice tractor, butt ugly loader and what ever that other thing is.

/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I am sorry, at the time my home made grapple was on, but I did get a new 6' HD bucket with it.
