Kubota L2250 won't move in 2WD but does in 4WD

A Kubota L2250 I'm looking at won't move in 2WD but does in 4WD. What might be the likely causes?

Quick look see if rod etc. bent or debris stopping to engage.

Rear diff not engaging, but transmission can send power to front wheels....

It should always have power to the rear wheels, and then also engage the front wheels when you shift into 4WD. If it's not moving in 2WD then sounds like the rear wheels aren't turning. Only way that I can see that happening would be if something broke between the rear axle and the gearbox. Probably need to split the tractor to fix it.

Has it a diff lock? Do it move if that is engaged?

If yes you have a broken drive shaft or gear between the wheel and diff.
