Kubota L2350 - clutch

Have a question on my L2350. The clutch disengages the tractor, but it is difficult to change the gear selector ( like it is torqueing up).

Never have had any issues, 433 hours on tractor. Sits for long periods of time.

What would cause this?

Rust on the flywheel, not allowing the clutch plate to release completely Do you have a hook or latch to hold the clutch pedal in the disengaged position? If so, use it during periods of storage;if not, cobble something up to accomplish the same
