While a fun project I sure wouldn’t add a turbo unless your into modifying stuff.
I own a JD 2025r which is at the 25hp limit so no DPF, it about 1250cc displacement. I owned a Kubota BX 2350 before, 900cc displacement and 23 hp. I thought the JD might feel like it had quite a bit more power because of its larger displacement but it doesn’t. It feels like 2 more horsepower. It’s a good fit for my tractor but the 2025r is a frame size smaller than a Kubota L size.
I’m not trying to talk you out of it but if what you have is working fine I’d just live with the regens.
