I just purchased a new L2800, the rear of the tractor seems to be very narrow with the ag tires, I have seen in the owners manual that you can adjust the width, has anyone tried to flip the wheels and reverse side and it made the tractor any wider, any help would be greatly appreciated, I am a newbie to this forum. I wish shomeone had pros or cons on this and actually if someone could tell me what exactly to do would be even better.

You can flip disc or widen rear tires to max width. You should have ballast in tires, or wheel weights on any machine of any color that has an FEL. DO NOT widen front tires as it will not help with stability(I'm talking about tractors with fwa or four wheel drive.) You can damage front axle and is not warranty.

I appreicte your response, , I am going to try and doing something with it tonight, hopefully we can get something going, I kind of understand and I dont, the reason is the wheel appears to be a 2 piece construction, it has a circle of lugs in the middle of the first piece of the wheel, then the out section has just 4 bolts spread out wide out closer to the tire, I was thinking about unbolting just the outter 4 bolts, spin the inner section wheels and take off the tire and outter wheel leaving the center section of the wheel still attached, then I would spin it around and mount this on the opposite side of tractor with the deep offset to the out side, whatcha think, am I on the right track, sorry to keep bothering you, I am tackling this tonight.

I think that is exactly what you need to do. I am currently researching if these wheels will fit on my grey market Kubota GL21 so while you're in there tonight would you mind measuring the center-center distance between the lugs on the rear wheels and the pilot hole also? It would be greatly appreciated. If it is not too much bother I could use the front wheel info too. You don't need to yank the wheels to get the information though, just measure with a tape measure center to center on opposing lugs and measure how big the opening is in the center of the wheel.

Now back to your problem, I don't have two-piece wheels yet but the way I inderstand it is, flip the outer sections to widen the stance a little, flip the inner to widen/narrow the stance a lot. It all dpeneds on how it is set up right now.

If the outer section is bolted with the lugs closest to the outside of the wheel then you should be able to spin them, don't forget to swap sides too! Ag tires are directional, simply tunring them around and bolting them back to the same side of the tractor won't get you too far. The tread will basically be facing backwards and you won't go too far in anything slimey.

If that doesn't get you wide enough you might have to undue the previous step and then mount the outer sections back to the original sides then unbolt the centers and then swap sides.

Clear as mud? Someone correct me if I'm leading this guy astray....

WOOOOOOOOOOOWWW, UNBELIEVEABLE, HOLY COW, I feel like I have a different tractor now, I gained about 7 1/2 to 8 inches total wider in width, thanks for everyones help.

PAB_OH, thanks for the help, here is the information I think you were needing.

Front Wheels
Lugs Opposing 6 inch
Lug to Lug 3 inch
Cap Opening 4 1/2 inch

Rear Wheels
Lug Opposing 6 5/8 inch
lug to lug 3 3/3 inch
Cap opening 5 1/4 inch

I hope this is what you were needing, everything was easy and worked out great except that I scratched my brand new orange wheels alittle swaping them around, I need to get some touch up paint for my wheels today, any suggesstions.

Thanks Again
