Hello tractorbynet,
I have the front axle hub apart on my L3130 (4x4). I want to replace the seal that goes between the hub (part with lug nuts) and gear/knuckle housing. The part # is 34070-13370...I attached a diagram, it is 060 or 180 on it. It is basically two parts...an outer rubber seal and a metal race as far as I can tell. I just don't know how to get the old "seal race" (or whatever it is called) off. Can you take a look at the pics and give me any suggestions? I would greatly appreciate it.

Not familiar with your assembly but good on bearings and seals..
Looks like from the diagram the bearing and seal are in the cover and pushed out from the inside of the cover.your axle looks like 1 piece.
may not come apart.
at this point I would look at a pic of the axle assembly part and a pic of the replacement bearing. That should answer your questions.

Looks like the seal surface on the axle os ok and just needs a good polishing.

Get pictures. or goto your dealer and see if they are on the shelf.

I'd score it with a dremel, then use a chisel and hammer to split it. Check out this video if you haven't already...might help.

The seal is two parts...it pulls apart really easily and the metal (inner) part is what is stuck on my shaft still. Here is a pic of the new one.

Is that you? Haha...I just watched this video. I was getting all ready thinking I finally found it and you didn't show the removal...lol. Regardless, I think I can use a dremel/chisel if thats the best way. I was hoping from some trick but haven't been able to find/think of anyway. Thanks!

Nope, not me. I have an L2800 with the same axle, so I was asking a buddy and he found the video. He didn't show it, but it should be easy enough. If it doesn't split, you may be able to convince it to move with a drift.

Use a propane or butane torch and warm it up. It will expand rapidly. With it upside down it might fall off or might need a little help to free it from oil stiction.

Did you resolve the problem? If so, what worked for you?
