Yes. I would step up to the L3800! Not much more $ in the long run.
I would think most people would tell you, yes, it is! But what are your plans for the tractor? The extra gross and PTO horsepower of the 3800 means an extra foot of implement width capability (for many things, not all). Basically it allows for larger implements that better match the frame size of the tractor.
Fair enough, but again, what are you plans? The DK tractors are still very maneuverable, from what I could tell. And it's the size (weight) that really makes them such powerful machines.
Well hey Dude he didn't say he was looking for the cheapest tractor now did he?^ dude, a grand L is going to add, what, at least $5k to the prices he quoted above?
I checked out both tractors you are comparing before I found something used that better fit my budget. The Kubota L series just seemed so much more solid than the little (narrow!) JD 3032.
I think Kioti stopped selling the DK35 or I might advise you to look into that model, too. But the CK series is still a great tractor.
Should also add - the Bobcat CUTs are basically the same as the Kioti CK line, and I have heard of some amazing deals on those. If you have a dealer nearby, check one out.
Not wanting to misuse this thread, let me quickly answer your question.
From what I understand what the dealer told me the L3200 and the L3800 have the same engine, just different bores and strokes, hence the added HPs. The rest of the tractor is exactly the same with the L38 just slightly heavier.
I don't even think I'm going to have a use for the PTO. I want to use the tractor mainly for digging (BH) and moving earth (FEL), removing rocks & boulders (BH), carry or shove them out of the way (FEL), grading my and neighboring driveways and snow plowing. Just my gut feeling tells me, that with the additional HPs I might be able to push heavier loads. Yes, I am aware that lifting loads has to do with the capability of the FEL. And that's the same on both machines.
Yes, I understand this too. I am just afraid that with one of these units I have my driveway blocked in. I am new to tractors and just the fact that I'm eye-level with the top of the back wheel is too overwhelming. It was already an awesome feeling to climb onto and drive the L3200 in the dealer's lot. Nevertheless, I don't wanna go with the B3200, which is smaller and much lighter, would give me less stability and probably traction and costs, save a few bucks, the same as the L3200.
Well the L3200 or L3800 will probably do what you want to do. They will do a lot, But neither will do what my DK35se HST will do, or one of the Heavier grand L Kubota's with more weight. and it wont do what a DK40 will do as far as FEL lift ability. Tractors have a way of shrinking fast. Every hour you are on it operating pushing, shoving, lifting, grading, they just get smaller and smaller. What is going on is that your experience and confidence grow as you become more skilled, and you want to do more. BUT you have to draw the line somewhere. You cannot do some things either because the bigger tractor will not fit or is not agile enough to do some jobs well, just too big. What you really need is about 3 tractors, small, medium and large
. If you are anything like me, you probably cannot afford 3 tractors. and will have to make do with one that is "about right" Good luck in your decision on finding that close fit.

Can the L-3200 pick up a 4 X 5 roll of hay with the front bucket?
