Yesterday I used my Kubota L3300 and when I shut it off it sounded like the ignition made a buzzing sound for a few seconds. Today I tried to start the tractor and it started to turn over and then it lost all power. Not even the lights or dash lights come on, nothing. It has a brand new battery a few months old, and brand new terminals. Anyone else experience this? Im not sure what the buzzing could have came from but I am thinking I lost from the ignition.

Do you have a DVOM???

It is really hard to trouble shoot electrical problems without one.

And if you can get a wiring diagram that would also be helpful. But if not, start tracing the power wires.

Do you have power to the switch???

Power out when the key is turned???

Power making it to the starter relay??

Fuel relay??

If you dont have a meter, about all you can do is look over all the wiring and connections and "hope" you stumble across the problem.

And I didn't mention any of the safteys like the seat switcn, neutral switch, PTO switch, because you said NOTHING works. It may be different on yours, but if a saftey is the problem, I still have lights and flashers, etc.

Actually, that reminds me, if your tractor has flashers, do they work. Because I don't believe they draw power through the switch, because they can operate even with the switch off.

Yes i have a meter just have to find it. I do not even have hazard flashers. Is there a wire that goes from the battery to the ignition? I'm only seein the positive wire going straight to the starter.

check the both ends of both battery cables.

Make sure the ground cable is clean and is making good contact.

I'm having the exact same problem on an L3300 - did you even find the source of your problem?

My L3300 had the same exact thing happen yesterday. You have to unbolt the grounding bolt from the frame, wire brush it and bolt it back on. Turns out it just has a bad ground at the frame (rusty and dirty). It's the braided grounding cable that goes from the battery to the frame.

This bolt is under the tray holding the battery? how do you remove this tray? two bolts either side from under the tractor?

If you have no power at all there should also be a main fuse that could have popped but sounds like a ground... you should still get some type of lights or power coming on if its a ground issue though unless the power cable and ground cable need to be replaced.

Checking ground- the complete lack of power is somewhat random but tractor will not start and dash lights on for brief time before going out.
Thank you will advise- removing battery tray appears to be a pain in the a--
