Kubota L3300 Rear Axle Seal

This is my first post. Great to have others of same interest to communicate with. My used L3300 has a leak around the left rear axle and I assume it's the seal. I bought one and thought there was a snap ring holding the axle in that allows it to be pulled out. Instead I found nothing of the sort after taking wheel off. Do you have to remove all the bolts around the housing, remove the ROPS bolts,etc. to remove the axle for seal replacement? Any special info I should know?
