It has been stated on here that the larger the HST machine, the less the whining noise. With my limited experience, this seems to be true. The L45 I used to have whined way less than my B2650.
Well if it's any comfort to you I won't change my fluid based on your experience. I appreciate you sharing info with me.
I think you are right about Kubota making the machines whine more. I have a grand L but it's not hst. That thing is super smooth. The budget l's do make a bunch of racket. I got rid of a L2501 because it's exhaust was so loud. Between the hst and the lack of muffler the thing drove me nuts. Lol
When you do that first service, you better have eaten your Wheaties. That HST filter on mine so so **** tight I had to use a three ft pipe wrench on it to get it loose! HeRd from the dealer this is common from factory.
I thought my L3301 came with Super UDT2 but I could be wrong. I did notice mine was about 2qts low when new so I topped off with Super UDT2. I did notice it seemed to get a little quieter somewhere after 50hrs (at 86hrs now). I just changed the filter at 50hrs.
