Kubota L3400 FEL lift capacity..

I would love to have the 3320, but youre talking about another $4000. I am trying to stay around $15000, and the comparable JDs are the 790 and 3203. To me, the L3400 seems like more tractor than those two. I really want to buy a JD (don't lynch me), but it comes down to getting the most tractor that I can afford (or am willing to spend).

I like both brands, I was a bit restricted by size but that was it, hence my choice. I felt the 3400 in size was a lot closer to the 3xxx series of JD. The 7-9xx closer to the 3030 etc. I dont know the prices you were getting, but mine were pretty close. a 3400 r4, mid pto, loader, 3pt stabalizer, extra valve etc was running me around 20400 or so. The JD with loader/hd bucket, r4, forks, mid pto and rear SCV was 21500. Good luck with whatever you get, they are both great machines

I have been using my L3400 to dig dirt. For me the back end is light when the bucket is full. I filled the tires and added some ballast. The back end won't go anywhere now.

a 3400 r4, mid pto, loader, 3pt stabalizer, extra valve etc was running me around 20400 or so.

I didn't think a mid-pto was available on the L3400. Is that something new?

Listen dont ask me! My dealer was so off base, he may have quoted me the larger grand L series mid pto and misspoke when he said there was no mid pto on the 3400. (he said the grand series was more of a farm tractor and had no mid pto) So i have no idea what he added in for the price, and I would guess when it came time to ordering..we would have had a problem if there isnt one! Now you can see why I didnt go with this guy, I nearly had to drag him out to the lot to even show me a machine, I was scared if i ever had a problem it would never get resolved, luckly the JD dealer was night/day to him, so for about 1000$ I got a green hat instead of an orange one. As it turns out, there is no way I will be mowing with this beast and my whole pto saga was moot...I guess i could add a front snowblower.....

Smart move not going with that dealer! Makes you wonder how some stay in business.
