Kubota L3400 vs JD 3520 vs NH TC34DA

I have 10 acres of land, need to plow my 100 foot driveway, mow lawn and field and repair my stone driveway amongst other usage.

I am looking at the three tractors above. Will need HST, R4s, Front End Loader, mid mount mower or rear (undecided), QA on FEL so I can mate with a curtis snow plow.

I would love to hear the opinions on the three tractors.

I can't give you a recommendation but it seems like the Kubota L3430 or new L3540 would be a better comparison with the other two tractors you are looking at. I believe the L3400 is a more basic machine, although it may be plenty for what you need.

That is so true! The 3400 won't take a mid mower or front power attachments. The L-3400 is a work tractor, no bells and whistles just a good basic performer.

The Grand L' series by Kubota would be the match for the other makes.

Your right...I picked up some literature on them from the local Kubota guy.

There aren't to many of the old models of the Grand L and those that are there have some good discounts. The new models hydro is steps ahead with the fuel efficiency of the auto throttle and the three extra ranges.

I have some Grand L 30's left on my lot. We got a ton of em when we took on the Orange line. I am in California if you are anywhere close I would be happy to quote you.

On comparison to the L3400...if you want a straight across comparison to a JD model look at the 3203 tractor with a 300X loader. This will give you a no frills 32hp hydro tractor with a 1368lb lift capacity. This tractor if needed will also accept the 447 backhoe if you went that way in the future. On a 3203/300X combo you can expect around $18,000 or so.

I just bought a NH and one of the items I really liked was the easy to view loader.... I could see exactly where it was due to the hood design.

Now mine also has 4 cylinders so it runs pretty smooth but I'm not sure about the 35 hp models. I would recommend posting on the individual forms too.
