2 Kubotas; One at business, one at home,(both for PLAYing) L3830 HST w/ 723FEL and BX23
I am rookie who needs help fast on a buying decision. Looking to purchase the new Kubota L3430 vs the NH TC35D. Not sure which one I want. I like the Grand Cab Option on the Kubota and the Supersteer option on the NH. The apples to apples comparison(incl NH with Supersteer and no cab) on these two is the Kubota is about $2500 less. Also, I can get the Grand Cab option on the Kubota is $4300(list is $5500). The NH aftermarket cab would be about $2700 for a hard sided cab only(no bells and whistles). Any thoughts on this dilemma would be greatly appreciated.

Rockdog, I'll give you my two cents on your buying decision. First I have a Kubota B1550 hydro (17 hp) that is about 14 years old. NEVER had one bit of problem with it. Runs absolutely great! Sooooooo I am leaning toward the Kubota. I think you need to determine how badly you want a cab tractor. Kubota's cab has all the bells and whistles built right in and ready to go. I guess aftermarket cabs are ok but I personally would prefer one right from the manufacture. There have been threads concerning the Supersteer on the NH tractors. A few readers indicated that unless you do some serious tight turns the Supersteer is a waist of money. They've indicated that the regular NH tractor makes a pretty tight turn. Quality wise it appears that NH does make a very good machine. My two cents is go with the cab Kubota and when its 2 degrees out, blowing wind and snow, or 98 degrees out in the blistering sun you'll be glad you did. Either way good luck with you decision and let us know what you decided to do. I'm not a 100% sure but I think you can only get the cab on a L3730 or larger tractor. Stanley

Apparently you can get a cab version with the 3430. My mistake.

Stanley,
Thanks for your help. You are right, the Grand Cabs come on the 3430 and two of the 4*30 Series only. I am definitely leaning toward the Grand Cab. It looks very inviting to me, especially now that the weather is getting cold here in Iowa. I have a B2710 that I am going to trade in. The new Grand 30 series have quite the improved loader over the Grand 10 series. But it is still the Kubota love and the warmer and cooler bells and whistles that are drawing me in. Thanks again.

While not making a judgement on the NH, the couple of posts about the TC40 would have me a little concerned about NH. The posts regard the twisted HST shaft that keeps both the transmission and PTO out of commision. Perhaps its a coincidence and no big deal, I hope so for the two fellas sake. I have been a little interested in the L3430 myself, but with no sighting yet in my neighborhood, I'll just have to wait. The lift ability both on the loader and 3 pt hitch is improved.
