Kubota L3600 Noise in 4 wheel

Just used my Kubota L3600 tractor tilling yesterday, went to park it and noticed a loud noise. When I put it in 2 wheel the noise goes away. Any suggestions as to problem.
If so is this something a mechanically minded person can repair if I buy a manual. Or would it be something better left to Kubota dealer.
Either way I am sure there is no cheap way out.

It is like a thump sound, also this tractor has less than 300Hrs.

Well sorry, but the hours are wrong, when I purchase it had less than 300 hrs. now it had 540 hrs. Which is still very low hours for this problem.

I had a thumping hesitation in a tractor in four wheel, and when I opened it up it turned out that the pinion gear was all chewed up and had deteriorated two of the teeth on the large ring gear. It would rotate fine until it hit that spot and then the noise. It is a pretty straightforward fix if you have access to a manual. Though I did not hear anything on the other side, I am glad I checked it, as the pinion on that side was toast as well. Thankfully it had not tore up the ring gear on that side, which saved $.

It would be a good idea to block the tractor frame up high enough to hold the front wheels off the ground. then with engine off try to locate area where the noise coming from. The housing could be loose where it bolts to frame. or the propeller shaft couplings may allow the popping noise. then try each wheel for grinding noise. if so metal in bearings. remove the metal caps at bottom of the axle each side and check for metal in the oil need to locate a repair book to understand the workings of how to remove the locking rings inside the axle to remove bearings. Not a hard thing to do just need to be accurate in replacing to prevent damaging the oil rings. 800 hours about the same time I developed my front axle problems. fix early or have a money pit.
