I have a 2001 L3710 cab HST with loader. I do a lot of everything with it. A great tractor. However I have developed what I can best describe as a severe squeak that seems to eminate from just below and to the right of my seat.. but I can't reproduce it by bouncing or moving the seat..I think it is farther down...I think sometimes it helps to hold the mid PTO lever...but honestly that might just be my imagination. I have looked to a degree under the cab and nothing is obvious...it does seem to be worse in rough pasture. Before I try to take it loose or delve deeper I wondered if any of you astute individuals could steer me in the right direction.

Check the seat suspension, there are a number of spots there that can squeak. Good luck, happy hunting... I also do not like squeaks. KennyV

I had written before about a squeak that seems to develop in one of the systems (hydraulic, transmission or cooling). It seems to be more prevalent under load and the key is that it only seems to happen when the tractor is up to temp. When cold there is no squeak at all under rough or smooth terrain. Over the years it has stayed constant and I almost suspect something in the thermostat in the engine. Never identified for certain and without its increasing loudness I don't have a concern that it is damaging. If the sound were t change I'd put on my "calibrated" ears and track it down. The sound is more like a chirp than a consistent squeak. If someone out there mentioned that it was a serious problem I'd get more serious about tracking.
