Buying Advice Kubota L3800 vs Mahindra 3616

Well, we beat the tractor spec and measurement thing to death again. And I still haven't converted LD1. I am beginning to think it is a lost cause. :dance1:

On the video comparisons, I think it is best if a dealer or manufacturer shows what their product can do, as opposed to what another product can't do. Because there are very few apple to apple comparisons in the tractor world. We went through this comparing the BX to the Max. And you could do the same thing with a Max to a B-series. Then a B-series to the 3016/3616. Then the 3016/3616 to a Grand L, and then the Grand L to the 35 series, and so on. Who wins will flip-flop each time you change the models.

When we did the two Max 25 videos, one lifting a forklift and the other pulling our loaded Freightliner, we left the other brands out of the picture. People think they are neat videos and are not trying to figure out how we sabotaged the other brand...because there was no other brand.

So back to the topic, L3800 or 3616? It's a little of a Chevy Vs Ford thing. Pick your preference, they are both good. If we are speaking of cabs, the 3616 is a really nice package and reasonably priced.

I gotta' get back to work.
I think a bunch off guys from the forum need to get together with comparable tractors from different brands and see who can lift the most.

Mad Max; If you want another Mahindra a Dealer by me (Medina Tractor) is taking offers on the stock they have.Warning, They are now turning pink from sitting sooo long you should get a great deal. Stock up now...

Thanks for the tip. I'll research that through Google... I hear that's how research is done these days ;) ...though, when u have a Mahindra, u don't need another tractor. Which is another nice way mahindra saves u money.

And if YOU need any REAL work done, they might rent u one for a while. :)

Kinda like instead of a tractor pull, a tractor lift?:) Only problem is someone would cheat and shim their relief valve out of existence, get some stronger hoses that would not burst, and ignore that funny sound under the hood just to win..:) It would be fun though, but make everyone sign an affidavit that their tractor was stock.:D

Regarding that Freightliner pull:
Next time the EDGE/TA tractor club has their sled out, maybe you could bring that Max 25, hook it up to the sled and see what happens. Should be interesting  :D

you are exactly right, when I saw the forklift lift, my exact thoughts were "hey that is a pretty cool test, and what a neat little tractor" When I saw the multi-brand lift of the pallet of sand, I though "aw man what a bunch of hype" and was disgusted at the demonstration. You are on the right track with your demonstrations.

I think that is the key right there and sums it up best. NO two models from different manufactures are exactally the same. They are all slightly different. I can show a dozen brand M tractors that will out spec a Dozen brand K tractors that are similar in size. BUT.....I can also show a dozen brand K tractors that out-spec Brand M tractors.

We should ALL be thankful we have SOOO many good choices to choose from.

Takes alot for a mahindra dealer to admit that. I think that statement has earned you a lot of respect.

Could have a tug of war too. I guess the pressure would have to be checked to make sure no one was cheating.

I always wanted my own reality tv show.
