Kubota L3901 vs Kioti CK4010

Ha... that happened to me at the first Kubota dealer I went to. I literally was sitting on the tractor I wanted to buy and my wife was standing next to the dealer with her checkbook in her hand. He could have cared less if he sold that tractor. The next week I was in another town, saw a Kubota dealer who was incredibly nice and informed and bought the tractor that minute.

Yes Indeed! That was my experience also with the Kubota dealers here in Central Texas. None wanted to sell the compact under 40hp tractors, and preferred to focus on larger high dollar tractors and Kubota construction equipment....mainly the Skid Steers.

The Kioti dealer I purchased from did not know anything about tractors, but he knew how to writeup customer equipment orders and negotiate really good package deals. Including taking 40% off on a 20' Diamond C Ranger Heavy Duty hauling trailer.

Which dealer did you buy from - was it Lloyd Trailer Co.?

TYM does not build all the tractors for Mahindra. Some are Mitsubishi and some are actually built by Mahindra.

I really don’t know the percentage but last time shopping it didn’t seem that way. I also wouldn’t know which models are having the most problems but most that I remember were not the TYM built machines. Just a side note I haven’t been reading everything posted for a few months so things listed here could have changed significantly and I might not be completely up to speed.
However all the Mahindras local to me that I know of that are were having problems were built by Mahindra except for one that was built by Mitsubishi and that one was clearly abused, which is more that likely the cause of its issues.

in a thread just this week RKGuy mentioned that TYM makes 60% of the mahindra models - I assume models as opposed to sold units...

Hi Geotech, yes it was Lloyd Trailer Company, a local Kioti dealer here in Waco that I purchased from. Though I use Cosper Tractors near Burleson for parts and service. My CK4010 is doing great and working hard.
