Hey Thom!

It sounds like you've added more equipment since I was there last! I thought you only had two that were turbos, the L3130 and the L39.

I guess I was worrying that the turbo charge would put more strain on the engine that wasn't necessary if the need for the HP was questionable. From the L4740, I'm looking at roughly $1,800 more for the L5240 and $3,200 more for the L5740. Worth it?

By the way, thanks for not saying 'I told you so'

LOL, turbodiesels are great!

My Kubota's are only indirect injection without turbocharge. The turbo models are direct injection and the torque curve is monsterous! My Freightliner, Mercedes, and VW's are turbocharged though.

Again, I cannot attest to the Kubota product performance, but I have had both a 4310 JD mid frame and a 3720 (two, actually) JD mid frames, and the turbo power difference is immense. These low powered diesels, even turbocharged, will last almost forever. Regardless of the brand you choose, I would go with a turbo model if you can afford it. It is well worth the extra investment.

Ditto to that, if you have a turbo option, be sure to take full advantage of it! :D
