Kubota L4310

I'm looking at a used L4310 at an auction yard, which does not have the year published, it does have an FEL, and only a picture of the hours with "Shows 1200 hours". There is a video of the tractor and it sounds about right to me...

The hours would have turned over at 9999, so I'm wondering, what is the likelihood this tractor has 11000+ hours, vs a lightly used, but stored outside frequently, based on the paint?

I'm trying to figure out what my max bid should be, given that it is a general auction...

It looks like these were in production from 1998 to 2002, and this is NOT an HST, but a geared model. Based on tires, 4WD.

Any inputs here?

Guessing that 11000+ hours is not the case. The L4240 sees around 100 hours/year and the Ford not nearly that. Homeowner here and don't do much work offsite. Could be the meter stopped working or was disconnected at one point?

Tires are a good indicator of use. At 1200 hours, they should show a fair amount of use, but not worn out. If they look newish, they were likely replaced, which is a sign the tractor has significantly more hours on it.

If the machine was stored outside, that would explain the faded paint, but there should be few dents or scratches.

Here's a 1999 4310 for sale on Tractorhouse with 3675 hours for 15.5K. It's an HST though which might add $2K to the price.

Thanks! Off to re-look at the pictures of the tires. They aren't newish looking to me...at least not like the new tires I put on my tractor...10 years ago now! The auction site I'm looking at is blocked at my office, so I have to go to my car.

I don't put 100 hours a year on my tractor, probably between 50-80. Except for the big field, my husband prefers mowing with the zero turn and I use it mostly for manure/loader/mulch work and to drag my fields or arena. We only have 15 acres.

You can also get an idea of gross hours by looking at the rubber cover on the clutch pedal. They generally show some notable wear at around 1000-1500 hours.
I had an L3410 for many years, and it was a great machine.

It went for $10,400. A little more than I was comfortable with on sight unseen. There is a buyer's 10% premium added. I stopped bidding at 9,900.

The winning bidder likely got a great deal.
