Kubota L4600 questions

Looking at an 2013 L4600 with:

Quick Attach HD bucket,
front and rear hydraulics,
sun shade,
and very low hours.

Owner says it is an interim tier 4 machine. What does this mean? Anything that I should be concerned about-electronics that may fail, etc.??

Current value of this tractor?

From what I read this model may be made in Taiwan, not Japan?

Sounds great, guessing on price, mid- to low 20's? with the extra hydraulics.

Interim tier 4 is referring to the engine, it's preferred over the 4701 that has the extra emission junk. I would not be concerned with the tractor itself other than it might sell quickly.

I do not know about where it's built - if it is Taiwan, that's news to me.

Predecessor to mine (L4701). Should be a great tractor, especially if it's in excellent condition. Yes, less emissions is usually better, but the newer Kubotas should be fine as well. I do like the fact that the L4701 does not smoke at all and is somewhat quieter than most tractors. The emissions equipment probably has something to do with that. By the way, the newer Kubotas don't have DEF, they have a DPF (diesel particulate filter) that automatically goes through a heat cycle at certain intervals to burn off accumulated emissions. If you get it at a good price, buy it! You don't see too many L4600s for sale.

Here is the EPA info about what the Tiers are and when they went into affect.

Google "convert kw to hp" to translate the EPA page to horsepower. Looks like you have one of the last ones before the full Tier 4.
