my l47 ought to be here in about a month

only options i got were a front hydraulic valve to run a grapple and a quick detach bucket

a hydraulic thumb would have been neat, but for the price it was a hard pass

what other front attachments can you run with the 11gpm flow?

A thumb is really neat. We use ours a lot - mostly for rocks and logs. It makes the backhoe into a whole different implement. But by the time you get the thumb hydraulics & the thumb itself the whole rig gets real expensive.
Good news is that most (all?) Kubota TLBs have the thumb attachment setup welded onto the dipper stick whether you get the thumb or not. Sure wish our JD had that. With the mount already there, it is easy to mount an inexpensive manual thumb.

Here you haven't even got it yet and we are already making modifications....

I wouldn’t doubt if it’s close to a 5k option but man it’s a complete game changer. I wouldn’t have bought my M59 if it didn’t have the hydraulic thumb.

I can see it on an excavator. 360 rotation and being easily able to travel around.

I was hot to get one on my somewhat larger Kubota backhoe but with time, I simply see no need or desire for it. And, we have nothing but stones around here. Now, a 360 rotating logging grapple on the front, would be usefull for skidding logs in narrow places.

internet pictures and numbers on paper don't do this thing justice. this backhoe makes the bh77 look like something i'd give my girls to go play in the yard with. it's too damned muddy here to do anything with it but i've got another mesquite stump to attack as soon as it's dry enough.

we were in a hurry so i didn't get to put a tape measure to them but the l47 is about a foot wider, about a foot taller and somewhere around 2' longer, so a very compact package for what you get
