Hi,

I have a Kubota L4740 and am looking to buy a rear blade for it. My dealer offered me a 7 feet Buhler series 60 at 405 lbs. I was looking at the 80s series at 939 lbs.

Anyone can give me advice out there with this? I am afraid that the series 60 blade would be too light for my tractor.

Thank you in advance

I would be looking at the 80 series with a 96" blade. You will be a lot happier with a better, heavier blade. Does your tractor have a cat 1 or 2 hitch? The 80 series is cat 2 only, so that might be a problem. You may need to look at other manufacturers to be able to get that quality of blade with a cat 1-2 hitch.

I will be using it to level/grade trails and a private road on my property.

Also want to use it for snow removal.

I am also concerned about the blade being too light.

My tractor has a cat 1 3 point hitch.

Thanks for the insight.

Take a look at a Land Pride RBT35 series blade. They are cat 1&2, heavier and have hydraulic options. This is the blade that I hope to get for my 3215 someday, very nice piece of equipment. ;) I don't think that any other manufacturer has an equivalent of this blade at this time. All the others that I have looked at are all cat 2 only.

Sweet thanks I ll look into it, the landpride seems about 100 lbs heavier and I want it with the hydraulic option for sure.

Thanks again.
