I would love nothing more than to order the kit from Brian but having a 9 month wait is killing it for me. Just have too much grading to do and don’t want to be stuck manually doing all that work for the next 9 months. With that how does this look? One thing not sure about is if the flow restrictors are going to be needed and if so do I need 2 or 4? Will I need 2-way or 1-way? Anything else needed to add to this order? Currently have 2 floats on the rear waiting on the 3rd to arrive from the dealer.
Oh and updated cart with only 1 top link hood catch LD1.

One flow restrictor should be fine I assume since those say two-way.

Some of those metered control have a check valve and meter one way and allow full flow the other.

You will also need whatever fittings and adapters for the hoses, flow control, and coupling.

I would question what diameter those cylinders are too. Alot of the category 1 toplinks are 2" cylinders which IMO is on the small side for a L4760.

Also....those cylinders look like they have the DPCV's to prevent drift. Not a bad thing but just understand you can't use float feature with them....if you even have a remote valve with float.

And also....why do you have two toplinks in your cart?

Updated the cart. Good catch must have accidentally added 2 lol. I’ve got 2 floats and a 3rd on the way. With the flow controls wasn’t sure if needed 1 for each hose. Hoses in the cart have ball valves on them and the other threaded to fit the cylinders. With you saying too small why? No down pressure and not sure how heavy the box blade is and don’t have a cutter to use or need one either. Just curious

You need male/male connectors from the flow restrictors (yea, only need 2) to the valve... Which valve are you using?

A 2" cylinder is plenty for static lifting. But it's the dynamic forces when using an implement

The toplink cylinder....when using the box blade, has to resist movement.

Picture what happens to the blade if you DON'T hook up the toplink. It's free to pivot a out the lower links.

The toplink cylinder has to be stronger than those forces. Lots of geometry and math and measuring to figure that...and different for different implements. But the 4760 is at the larger end of category 1 tractors. Again....2" is on the very small end for a tractor your size.

Simply going to a 2-1/2" cylinder is more than 50% stronger

LD1 I hadn’t even considered the pulling from forces. You are right though. My issue is finding cylinders in stock lol

old and tired using whatever factory valves are.

You can try it without the restrictors and put them in later if you need them. The larger the cylinder, the slower it will move and the less of a need you will have.

I'd think that if you have float valves, you'd want cylinders that can float.

Definitely. I love float on my toplink. But after a pile of tries & replacements my dealer couldn't get a valve for my sidelink that didn't leak down horribly. He ended up putting in a DPOV to stop the leakdown problems. I wouldn't have stood for it on my toplink, but they managed to find 1 decent valve that didn't leak down out of the bunch they tried. It got put in the primary slot for the toplink.

If you haven't already, check the "AI Products" website for top links and side links. They make a whole bunch of common sizes. These will be widely carried by most farm/ag distributors and retailers. Quality is average but I've had two of them for 7+ years and no issues even with a lot of use/abuse. Both cylinders use ORB (o-ring boss) connections which are nice and easy to work with.

You can use discounthydraulichose.com to get custom made hoses with exactly the length and ends you need, to minimize joints and connections. Prices are reasonable too.

I've never needed a flow restrictor for either of my cylinders. Can always add them later if needed. Never saw the need for a check valve either. My stuff takes hours/days to leak down in a noticeable way.

you might be right. Probably won’t float so good lol. But I could just remove them then though.
