Kubota L49TLB

Ahhhh yes....that was it also....the JCB 212S has no 3 point hitch and also does not have enough hyd. flow to run a hydraulic skid steer attachment. JCB does make the same version of the loader with a 3 point hitch but without a PTO and no ability to run a hoe, I believe it is a 212SU and I guess it would primarily be used with a box blade.

I also think those IR/Earthforce machines look pretty good and they seem to have good all around specs, they also seem to be priced relatively cheap, I just don't see many of em' around my area.

I just got back from the World AG Expo. I asked a Kubota HQ guy about
their plans to replace the L48 with something maybe called an L49. He
seemed surprised that I had heard that, but his reaction confirmed to me
that something was in the works. No announcement yet.

The mythical "in the works" tractor just may have been at our store a few days ago. The fact that it exists is not news to anyone. This has been a long time comming.

The new BT820 hoe for the new B26TLB was very impressive. They
had one with the factory hyd thumb option with foot pedal control.
Too bad it is only available for the B26. It is clearly superior to the
BH75.

Come on! Not fair to tease us like that!

As I say again, it makes no sense to take a proven machine for it's size and capability and add one horse power,,, Maybe add a turbo and crank it up another 10 0r 12 hp and they have a new style. I've had mine over two years and only thing I can think of is to change loading fuel,,, Perhaps to the side somewhere so one doesn't climb machine and pour,,

But it might make sense to go with the flow and put a "new style" loader on, better HST funtionality with more ranges and benefits that the new L40's will have, upgraded hoe, etc. They could keep the engine, the name is not always indicative of the HP the engine generates which is "fluff" HP anyway. The L48s diesel is superb. The thicker then normal steel that surrounds the engine is much nicer then the foil Kubota puts on most of its tractors. To stay competitive, Kubota does need to upgrade the L48, the JD 110 definitely has something to do with this. On the ohter hand, JD really needs to get a JD 111 going, number one improvement being a better HP to HST ratio or offer a gear driven model. They could also put a real gas gauge on the diesel tank as opposed to the B&S gas cap style found on riding lawnmowers.

obviosuly the details are under warps, and from the sound of it a fair amount of things are going to change from the prototype I saw. If you look at the existing product line you can pretty well fill in the blanks.
