I don't understand how it is a fault of the manufacturer, the tractor was out of warranty. Now the troubleshooting procedures at the dealership might be a little questionable, but that isn't the manufacturer's job.

There is at least some responsibility on the manufactures part to ensure they are represented by competent dealers with trained technicians.
I think your missing the point here. Why support a company that won't support their tractors? I do think that in this situation Kubota could/should have offered something more than over priced parts.Selling a brand new tractor in AL because of an incompetent dealer in AK. That'll show 'em!
