Kubota LA211 - Hydraulic Fitting Leak

The hydraulic cylinder on my Kubota LA211 FEL has a leak in one of the fittings where hoses connect. In the attached picture, the cylinder is the one that controls the dumping motion of the bucket and the fitting is the one closest to the ground. I originally thought the leak was coming from the hose, but I replaced the hose and the leak is still there. Actually, when you look very close it is clearly coming from the fitting. Has anyone had this issue and, if so, were you able to fix it? I am being told by Kubota and a couple Kubota parts distributors that this fitting is not serviceable. So either it does not come out or they do not sell a replacement part. Both I find hard to believe, but on the other hand, this would mean more money for Kubota as the cylinder cost over $400 to replace. I think that is crazy when the issue is only a leaking fitting.

It's most likely a swivel 90 fitting ,guessing cause there's no picture, there's a oring crimped and generally the fitting is replaced at 10-15$

Take cyl. off and take a part. Take tube to a hyd or welding shop and they can put a new one in.

So does the fitting unscrew from the cylinder or not?

If it is leaking between the orange fitting and the cylinder, it needs to be re-welded. Just make sure the cylinder is at full extinction. That way the packing won't get hot and you won't have to tear the cylinder apart. Any hydraulic shop can do it or an experienced welder at a fabrication / welding shop.

The 90 deg should, but the fitting that it screws into does not. That one is welded into the tube, the part # for the 90 deg is K6072-63660 on my BX2660 loader the Bx2200 could have a different part #. I can't look up the LA211 on this computer, its on my other one.

You should be able to remove the fitting,
take off the hose again, then try and remove the fitting, I don't see why that 90 degree would be welded.
You should be able to tell if it is or not just by looking closely.

I do not see any welding material, but when Kubota painted the cylinder, they painted the fitting except for the threads where the hose connects. This makes it difficult to see for sure. I did try to loosen the fitting but it is very tight and I did not want to press my luck at this point.

Does the fitting have threads that crew into the cylinder or does the cylinder have the threads and the fitting screws on to them?

Apparently Kubota did indeed weld these fittings and made them non-serviceable (below is an email I received the Kubota district parts manager).

The cylinders on your loader were approved by Kubota engineers at the time of release of the loader. Part of that approval process was the decision not to service the welded fittings separately. It is quite possible that a hydraulic repair shop or machine shop may be able to assist you with a weldable fitting to replace the one going bad on your cylinder.

I have removed the cylinder and gave it to a friend of mine who owns a machine shop. He will be taking it to the hydraulic company that does hydraulic work for him. Hopefully, they will be able to fix it.
