Check the hydraulic fluid that it is not contaminated with water. Many tractors that sit outside get water in the hydraulic/transmission case and that will compromise performance.

I have the same rig with about 1500 hrs and I have lifted some pretty large rocks. In fact I can tell you that without a weight bucket I can lift the rear tires off the ground without any problem.

When you attempt to lift the full load of dirt/stuff, does the engine change RPM or bog down at all?

If the engine is affected then it could be a whole host of different problems.

Did you have a backhoe with you tractor?

Thanks for the info. As soon as it quits raining here I will give this a try and let you know how it worked.

I had a 6' back blade on. I have not gotten a chance to change anything yet. I will let you know as soon as I do.

No, it does not seem to make any difference on the RPM's. Increasing the gas also had no effect.

No backhoe with it.

US,

Try this - lower your hitch to the mid poiint and see if the loader now has power to lift a bucket full of dirt.

If it does, the follow up linkage on the three point needs to be adjusted.

If no difference is noted, then likely the relief valve needs to be adjusted up to a higher pressure.

Try doing the test and see if there is a difference in what the loader will lift.

Good luck!
Lowering the 3pt halfway made no difference. Where is the relief valve located and what does it take to adjust it correctlly? [/I]

US,

On the RH side of the transmission housing - close to the suction tube - is a valve. A tube comes from the pump discharge into the valve. This also is where the loader supply hose goes up to the loader valve and returns as well. Check to be sure the diverter between the hoses is straight up and down before doing any other checks - if horizontal, you may be bypassing the loader valve supply.

On top of this valve is a hex nut with an acorn cap / cover. Take the acorn cap off and loosen the jamb nut so you can screw in (CW) the jack screw to compress the internal spring.

Don't go nuts - turn it about half a round and check it. Go another half round and recheck. You should see a change in the loader ability to lift.

If not, then reset the RV where you started and have a dealer run a flow rate on your pump and RV check. Maybe your pump is getting tired.

Good luck!

I just got finished changing out the filter and fluids and it had no effect at all. No better or no worse. I will check what you said first chance I get tomorrow and let you know the results. Thanks for the help..

SOLVED!

Yank,
Thank you-Thank you, That did the trick. I had to turn the screw a full turn before the loader would lift the front wheels off the ground. I suppose their is no way to know when you are at the right pressure without a gauge. The screw looked like it was turned all the way out. What a relief.
Again, Thank you. I hope I can assist you some day..
