kubota mx5100
I am new to this forum and joined to hear if anyone has tried to install any extra forward facing work lights on a kubota mx 5100. Any info would be helpful.

Welcome

Nice tractor... I have a new mx5100..

I was told it was okay to do this.

Under each rear fender there is an accessory plug. I had a work light put on and they just plugged it in there.

I am doing to use the other accessory plug and install two LED lights under my canopy. I will have to weld some bracket. I am using led's because of low amp draw and brightness.

So look under the fender where the tail lights are installed, you should see the extra cords

Hello, I have moved your post to the Kubota Owning/Operating Forum. You will have better luck finding assistance there. ;)

Thanks for joining TractorByNet.com!!!

Just wondering how do they come on ? did you add a switch or do the come on when you turn on the lights ? thanks

I have a M6800. I added two forward facing LED spots and two rear spacing LED floods. I researched this extensively on TBN and saw many ways do do this. I made brackets and installed them under the roll bar so they were protected from overhead limbs. I bought two factory Kubota switches that are lighted and cut out my dash and installed them. These are push button, one for rear and one for front. They are independent of the factory switches and are able to be turned on even without the tractor on. I wired them with the frequently used wiring diagram on TBN using relays. It took some time but they work great and look factory. I will post some pictures Monday if you are interested. This was not a cheap way as the switches and lights were expensive, but it works great and looks good. Do a search on work lights and you will see lots of info. In a previous thread "another worklight installation" by hcjtractor, I posted pictures of my install (except switches) I don't know how to link it or transfer these pictures, but you can easily find it.

Different tractors, but the idea is the same. Philip.
