Kabota L2800
I am the firsts to tell you I am not a tractor expert. Nor am I an electrician. I broke of the left turn signal/flashing light on my Kubota L2800. Light has only one (red) wire. It is mounted through a hole in the plastic fender. I bought a light that has two wires. I matched red wire to red wire. Light works perfect. Have a black (ground?) wire left over. How was the light working from factory without a ground. I taped the black wire up. Works, but how?

It was grounded via the socket to metal frame. The replacement with ground allows you to mount in metal or non-metal. It's all good

The fender on the L2800 is not plastic. It is steel. Get out your magnet and see for yourself. The frame of the light is connected to the ground wire, the current path is thru the fender.
