Kubota loader bucket dimension

I am trying to design the grapple bars for a bucket grappple...unfortunately I am not in the same physical location as my tractor and am looking for the face opening of a Kubota "Bucket 48"
This bucket is on a LA301 loader but the same part number is used on several other smaller loaders...

If anyone can measure their (same) bucket and post the opening face dimentsion I thank you in advance...

I seem to recall measuring it once and I think it was something like 19" but just not sure...

I bought the 20" for my 7510 (302) FEL Same bucket as yours I believe (48" wide), and after mounting I have a slight underbite...That is the end of the grapple teeth slides inside the bucket by and in or so...

Depends on how good with fabrication you are, but for the money vs time/materials this is a great unit!!!

Firefighter Kubota, would you mind measuring the length of the grapple tooth bar from the center of the pin (hole) to the tip of the bar?

Is it ideal for the grapple bar to just reach the cutting edge of the bucket when extended?

It is 20" per thier site... actaully 21" measured, and the bucket is 19"

I like the "underbite" allows me to pull stuff, mulch, logs, branches into the bucket with a firm bite....If the teeth meet at the cutting edge you don't get that strong of a bit on stuff...

I can grab a 30" log with this set up, and atleast a load and 1/2 of mulch verse with out the grapple......

The reinforcing of the bucket and the mounting plate raise the grapple approx 1-2 inches, thus the 20" grapple now ends up inside the bucket vs on the cutting edge...

I thought I had remembered the bucket being 19" but was not sure...I am in the process of designing my bars and working on a mock up to get the length rigth on the cylinder rod mount.

hauling loose material...

I am considering making up some bolt on "attachments" to the grapple bar to expand it's capabiliy in grabbing/holding (specifically) leaves...I think I will try and shoot for having the tip of the tooth grapples fall just inside or at the edge of the bucket bottom but on the bull nose of the bars I may weld a accepter plate to bolt to...

I was thinking about some sort of wide paddles made out of angle iron and maybe some expanded aluminum...that I can bolt to the grapple...
