Why not go with the M7060. Essentially same tractor with different transmission and proven reliability. There are very few differences unless you have to have a buddy seat or a couple of other small items. It actually has slightly more PTO HP. Took 5 months though for my new one to get here but I custom ordered with a lot of options.

That's what I'd recommend^

Or an M5. I really should have gone with an M5 but I limited myself to my ability to transport it with the equipment I had at the time and the M4 maxed me out.

For me the creeper gear is a must have, but it doesn't appear to be offered on the M7060. I would think for many people the M7060 would be a great alternative.
It has the option for a creeper gear. Mine brand new one has it. And it's cheaper than the creeper gear for the M4D by a few hundred dollars.

This is exactly what I ordered.

By now I'm getting confused about the differences between the M4 and M5, M6000 & M7060. Why so many models? Are the differences significant? I'm missing something here.

M4 is the deluxe version of the 7060, all the bells and whistles. Think of the 7060 as a F250 and the M4 is the King Ranch edition, gives up a few PTO HP as trade off.

M5 is the next step up for engine size.

M6000 and 7060 are just different engines.

Thanks. That makes sense.

thankfully our F250 doesn't read TBN.

That's good to hear that a creep range is available. Could you post the speeds in creep range? Can you use the creep for all 12 gears?

I was able to find a pdf of the operators manual that gives the speeds. Here's a screenshot for anyone else who might be interested.
