I have a 5520 which is probably the equal to the 5095M, an it is just wonderful especially with the radials and weights I put on it. It will pull a 16 shank IH Vibrashank cultivator on it with no problem. Same with a three shank ripper at 16". These are great tractors that will live for decades and I bet hold their prices or even gain as new models and inflation push things up in price.

No way do I blame Kubota. For 50 years we have bought equipment from Japan. Never a problem until this DEF issue. Politicians did this DEF to our equipment, not the equipment manufactures. I had a Kubota engineer in Fort Worth, Texas want to follow me home to observe me using my Kubota tractor so he could look for ways to improve their products. That is how much Kubota cares about their customers.

I just purchased a new JD 5100M. I looked very hard at the Kubota M5-111 but I just didn't like the cab or the ride as well as the JD. I only have 15hrs on the new tractor and so far, so good. I had a chance to try the electric 3pt control this weekend and it is simply amazing. Very precise and repeatable.

The Kubota M5-111 is a wonderful tractor that just has a temporary DEF issue. They will figure it out and all will be good again. I had a problem with something and Kubota did whatever I wanted to fix the problem. Problem fixed; I'm good and love Kubota. That's why they are where they are in product loyalty.

My combined Kubota/John Deere dealer has told me the same thing. When there is a warranty issue JD fights you. Kubota calls and wants all the details, wants to know how to improve it and what can they do to help.

Kubota has been amazing in what I have seen. Two issues were from me and Kubota did more than I asked. The other was a problem that I may have helped cause yet they took care of it immediately because I needed the equipment. Oh, a third was a replacement tractor seat that they just called about and said it was a free replacement for seats that had a defect. I figured I could replace that myself.
I love my 5520 Deere but when it was new, the draft control lever would not fully return to "battery" meaning the lowest point of travel. I called and they convinced me to buy a shop manual ($100) and fix it myself. I did that just because I knew the people there and wanted to be nice. No dice so they said bring it in. I brought the 10,000 lb tractor in, so you know the effort, and they didn't do anything to it. Didn't even look at it. So today, that's exactly how it remains. It's a great tractor, and I really, really like it but may sell it next year.
