I'm posting this because it seems that the only way to get a price is to walk in and work with a salesman.

My buddy went in and talked to a salesman that he has known for a long time, so the price might be lower than some might be offered. The unit he was pricing had a FEL loader, buddy seat, and he was told it had most of the options. Just telling you all up front of the ambiguity of the situation.

2 offers were made, one with some low interest Kubota financing. It was quoted at $92K plus you had to buy the protective insurance for the life of the loan which added another $7K. (So no free lunch with the low interest rate)

If you bought cash or secured your own financing, the price was $87K

These prices may reflect that this company really wanted his business because he's been a red and green tractor guy up to now.

He really liked the roominess of the cab and buddy seat, but he's not too fond of the orange. Says he will seriously consider painting it another color if he buys it. :)

thats why it always pays to get your own financing if you can.because most dealers make money off the no interest deal.but i also squeeze the dealer down on price as tight as i can.on the 2 tractors ive delt with i knocked off enough to pay the interest.

I wish :)

There is no money for dealers in any aspect of financing.

Perhaps not, but then again, you sell tractors you might not otherwise. Years ago, in the 1970's, I was in the stereo business where 90 day financing with no interest (Friendly Bob's or something like it) was offered. It worked because we sold stuff, and Bob had about half of his "clients" fail to pay it off and were converted to regular, expensive consumer loans. Only a tiny percentage of our sales were done that way, BTW.
