you make great points. It does have about 45 hrs on it. I may consider the newer local one if they don't want to work on the price anymore.

A tractor with 45 hours is not new.

You should be able to buy it at used pricing.

I'd also think about putting some sort of (Kubota) extended warranty into the negotiations. Not that 45 hrs is any consideration when buying a used tractor, but it sure activates one's imagination as to why in this situation. Could it have been from an death/estate type deal or DeereDudes possible "gremlins" issue, although it's very hard to imagine having enough troubles within those 45 hrs to have Kubota/dealer replace a customers lemon. This is when a "carfax" history type deal would be nice to have for tractors. Chances are that in all that time sitting a dealer took it home for a while along with a few demo's here and there and that that may be the actual story.:confused3:

I would inspect things like the tires and rubber hoses for the loader. Things under the hood should be fine as the UV rays will not break the rubber down. Look for signs of dry rot. Take the hydraulic hoses and try to bend them as tight as you can. If you see cracks I would want all of them replaced, the same goes for the tires. Hydraulic hoses are too pricey but they are messy to change. The tires can easily cost well over a grand, probably closer to two grand if they are loaded and need to be replaced. I would check anything that the sun can break down, like the seat.

Is there a way to find any work done on it after the first dealer took possession of it ie; tractor split or how many times. Was the issue resolved?

Was it sold then returned because dealers don't do that willingly. Or, did it just exist on the lot somewhere.

Should be able to get a history from the SN and actual age.

Like Crazyal alluded to, tires have an age shelf life on cars of like 6-8 years, do tractors also? Seems they would and expensive to replace.
