Comparison Kubota M7060 Vertical or down exhaust?

/ Kubota M7060 Vertical or down exhaust? #11
About 5% of the time I wish I had down exhaust. It's an inconvenience but I can live with it so I do, especially when I consider the steep cost..

On the flip side of the coin are the negatives of the downside exhaust such as the risk of fire in a dry grass or hay situation. Diesels can throw sparks and I would fear a newer downside exhaust with a tractor that regens itself at a high RPM.

I think the down exhaust does kick up more chaff when you're mowing. At least mine seems to. I have to blow out my radiator/coolers about half way through mowing my ditches as the caff really gets in there. I'd much rather have a vertical stack exhaust, but I wouldn't want it to interfere with my hood opening. I have a cab, and I don't do much work around trees, but I don't think it would be an issue that I wouldn't already have to watch out for with the cab anyway?
