No, it has to be compatible. I would imagine that machine has R134 in it, I dont think it is old enough to have used R12. If it is R12 it will have to be converted to R134.

Should be listed on unit as to type of Freon. But the ports for r-12 and R-134 are different sizes have to be fairly old to be using r-12

Well since the build start date is 1999 thru 2005 I can say for sure its NOT R12.

There you go recharge wit R-134 the best way to do this is to evacuate system measuring how much was removed then vacuum system and leak check then refill with proper amount also add oil if needed. are you can use the old suicide method and buy a can and hose an charge to you think its full.
