i`ve searched but can`t find any info. on how to make a vertical exhaust thru the hood with a 3" chrome stack. has anyone done this or can tell me how to.

Watch out for added backpressure as most factory exhaust is tuned for the unit. If you do go vertical you might want to consider a flapper to keep out rain, snow as well as other assorted critters.

I know this tractor is not orange, but I built my own stack for my JD 312 using a muffler and elbow from parts that I picked up at Fleet-farm and welded them together. You could also find an exhaust shop and see if they can custom bend the parts for you then weld them together your self.
